The scales are karmic justice. The decisions that you make have long-term effects in all things, both for yourself and others. The decisions that you have made in the past will be carefully weighed with fairness. If you have been wronged, this card may bring you relief. On the other hand, if your actions caused pain to others, this card serves as a warning. You have a chance to change your actions now for a better future. There will always come a time where you will be judged. A judgment will be made fairly and accordingly. Impartiality. What she delivers is the outcome of your actions. Fairness, karma, consequences of actions (punish or reward), accountability, responsibility, commitments.
Another meaning is objective truth. Truth must come to pass. Learn the truth about others and yourself, speak and know the truth before passing a judgment. Seek the truth of the matter and act accordingly. Honesty. When you learn the truth, you will understand what your tasks are. If you have been unsure about something (e,g, an important decision), it is time to get a solution once and for all.

Listen carefully as others explain to you their version of events and the parts they played. It is unnecessary to offer feedback. Your role is to give a full hearing. As you witness people's account of themselves, your understanding will go beyond their words. Subtle inferences and clues will reveal the truths so you can make a wise and accurate assessment.
Balance, equilibrium. Indicates a need for balance and discernment. The scale helps to balance competing needs against the greater good, and a double-edged sword to symbolize the precision needed to make clear judgments. Be careful to attend to important details. Intuition should balance logic.

Prepare for the truth as it may be painful. You are not willing to accept the consequences of your actions or others. You are likely living in denial and running from your guilt.
